The Edge That Wasn't

The complete ledger of record, reconciled to the broker

Every transaction and every closed trade for all thirteen OANDA accounts, pulled directly from the broker with no database in the loop, and reconciled two ways: deposits + withdrawals + transfers + realized P&L + financing must equal the current balance, and the P&L summed from the raw transaction stream must equal the P&L summed from the broker's own closed-trade records. All thirteen accounts tie to $0.00 on both checks. The pips are recomputed from OANDA's own fill prices — not from any figure the project's software logged. This is Appendix B's closing table; read straight, it is the whole book on one page.

Total$206.24−$6.50≈$0−$56.85−$2.228,687≈ −82,000$140.72

Across all thirteen accounts and every year of trading — 001 and 002 reach back to February 2021 — the enterprise took in $206.24 of deposits, gave $56.85 back to trading and $2.22 to financing, and ended at $140.72 of net asset value. The dollar loss is tiny only because the stakes were: 8,687 closed trades produced it. Account 010 is the only one of the thirteen with positive lifetime pips (+171) — itself the decayed remainder of a +693-pip three-week peak, and that strategy too was wound down. Every other account is net-negative, roughly −82,000 pips in total.

One reconciliation, so the counts cannot be read as contradicting each other. The book's cover counts 4,932 live trades — the live rows of the frozen 31 May 2026 database snapshot every table in the book is computed from (5,556 rows in all, counting the 624 paper trades that never touch a broker; see Verify). The 8,687 here is a different measure of a different window: the broker's own lifetime fill count, pulled at the end of June 2026, which reaches back to 2021-era trading on accounts 001 and 002 that predates the project's central database entirely, and runs a month past the frozen snapshot. Same enterprise, two instruments: the snapshot is the auditable dataset the book's numbers come from; the broker pull is the complete history the enterprise is judged on. Neither corrects the other.

Accounting notes, as published: the reconciliation identity is on account balance; the NAV column equals balance for the eleven flat accounts and differed at pull time only for the two then holding open positions (009, 010) by their unrealized P&L. Per-account cells are rounded to the cent, so a column may not foot to the last cent; the total row carries the exact broker figures.
